BUILDING My BACKYARD DIY TURTLE DOCK!! (did it work?)

In todays video we build a DIY dock for my duck pond. Using recycled material around the farm, i was actually surprised with how good it turned out! The real question is.... does it float or sink?!

Paul hear me out! On those wooden posts, screw in a metal rod that fits the camera!!! So you can screw down your camera on the posts when filming without it falling off!!!!

Most people wouldn’t realize how much weight foam on the water actually holds. My husband builds boat docks and they always use foam. One big block holds way over 400lbs

Styrofoam decomposes in water. The plastics inside the styrofoam with kill the fish, turtles, and could causes issues with the ducks. Putting plastic buckets under neither instead of styrofoam would be safer

You can replace the foam with plastic bottles(recycle♻) tied together! It will last longer and will float better.

I think it will float buddy. But you may have to put a ramp for the turtles to crawl up . Also anchor it so it doesn’t come back to land. But you may have done all this I’m not finished the video. Lol

For now the dock works. But in time the wood will get water logged and will end up at the bottom. And treated wood is not good to keep in the pond,

You should build a small house on it for the ducks to go in. And keep it away from the edge so they have a safe place to sleep at night.

Should take pigs out of turtle pond area. Im OCD so I noticed it before u said anything& if they are destroying it, it sucks. I love that POND & area. Such a hooked up little spot & if they take away the grass anymore it will totally take away the beauty from area imo. NEW PIG ENCLOSURE!! or bonding time with new friends. 😁😁😁 Great job on deck. I didn't think it would float & was so happy it did!!!
